Two Tech Giants Join Hands To Work On The Expansion Of 5G Mobile Network

With the passage of time, 5G has started becoming the need of all well-developed and under-developing countries.

As mobile phones are now coming integrated with the 5G technology, customer demand has started to surge for 5G accessibility.

Viettel High Tech and AMD Partnership

Two major tech companies; Viettel High Tech and AMD have announced that they have recently formed a partnership. Viettel High Tech, which is also a member of the Viettel Group.

The companies have confirmed that the reason behind their collaboration is to ensure the expansion of the 5G technology is expedited.

Both sides have confirmed that they had been working together on a particular project that involved 5G technology.

They have revealed that they were working on the field trial deployment of the 5G mobile network. They have successfully completed the trial and things are turning out to be very promising.

They confirmed that the trial deployment was carried out by Viettel. On the other hand, the technology behind the network was provided by AMD devices. These devices used were Xilinx Zynq Ultrascale MPsoC.

Significance of the Partnership

The partnership between both companies holds a very high significance because this is not the first time they have worked together.

Viettel High Tech is one of the largest Vietnam-based telecom operators. The mobile customer base it has in Vietnam alone surpasses 130 million.

Both companies have a long history of collaborating and working together on multiple projects. They even worked together when it came to the expansion of the 4G technology in Vietnam.

As of now, the 4G deployments of Viettel High Group in Vietnam are all based on radio technology powered by AMD.

The companies have joined hands once again to execute the same kind of expansion in Vietnam for the 5G network.

The teams on both sides have been working with each other for a long time and therefore, they are well-coordinated. They are aware of each other’s technological knowledge and expertise.

Therefore, they can use the best of each other’s services and expertise. Their latest collaboration would ensure that the deployment process of the remote radio heads (RRH) for the 5G network is expedited.

They will accelerate the process the COVID is no longer haunting Vietnam and things are back to normal. Vietnam is still at threat because it is a neighbor of China, which is facing a major COVID crisis.

Deployment Execution by the End of 2022

Their collaboration is to ensure that the RRH is deployed as soon as possible. This would ensure the 5G mobile network will be available throughout the region.

According to their data collection, the usage of mobile phones and networks is constantly rising. Users from around the world are demanding 5G technology and Vietnam is no different.

They want to make sure that they do not keep the customers waiting and provide them with the 5G network as soon as possible.

They are working tirelessly to ensure that the 5G mobile network’s capacity is increased for users all over the region as the year 2022 comes to an end.

The 5G radio development being carried out by Viettel requires the radio unit (RU). AMD is the exclusive supplier of Viettel for the radio unit that is used for the development of the 5G radio.
