Globe Virtual Hangouts To Introduce Metaverse Platform

Globe Virtual Hangouts wants to launch a metaverse recently as it keeps expanding and reinvesting its brand. The aim is to provide Gen Z users a way to interact and engage with one another in the virtual space.

Globe To Target New Generation Users

According to reports, this platform will be the first in the Philippines and will launch in the H2 of 2022. The company said it would be packed with phygital experiences that would link the physical and digital world.

Also, Globe Prepaid will provide interactive experiences for users. Globe VH has assured users that this digital world would have exciting and interactive activities for users to explore.

Additionally, users can develop avatars that they would use in the portal to call and chat with fellow users. Eric Tanbauco, the VP of Globe Prepaid, acknowledged that the present-day youth is becoming immersed in the internet.

Hence, brands and companies need to look for new ways to interact with this new generation of users. Tanbauco said the company is excited to explore the metaverse targeting Gen Z users and other customers. 

Meanwhile, Globe VH came into the limelight in 2020 with a drive to connect Gen Z users. Also, the project aimed to allow this new generation to showcase their skills and passion.

Globe Virtual Hangouts Focuses On Youth Development 

At the beginning of 2022, the company introduced the Passion Portal, where users can make a profession out of their passion. The portal provides users with various masterclasses that would train them to develop their passion.

Various sections of the Passion Portal include marketing, music, film, Korean culture, finance, and e-sports. The event recorded huge participation from Gen Z users.

In May, the company also launched another project after providing mentorship for Gen z in various areas. The company launched the GoWATCH Film Lab to help aspiring filmmakers develop their craft.

The Film Lab was the fifth learning program of Globe Prepaid under the VH platform. The GoWATCH Film Lab was accessible to anybody between 16 to 27 of age.

Those interested in filmmaking and who want to develop their skills were invited to the program. The program took place on June 4th and 5th. It also took place on June 11th and 12th.

Following the seminars, the participants had the opportunity to pitch their tales or story to the organizers. Eight finalists were chosen from those who pitched from a script mentioning the program and the P200,000 seed grant. The program also planned to feature the work of the chosen filmmakers.
